Australian Labradoodles

The dog that started a revolution — intuitive, allergy-friendly, and deeply devoted to their families.

What is an Australian Labradoodle?

The Australian Labradoodle is a carefully developed multigenerational breed that originated in Australia in the late 1980s. Unlike a simple Labrador-Poodle cross, the Australian Labradoodle incorporates several breeds — including Labrador Retriever, Poodle, and Cocker Spaniel — to create a consistently predictable, allergy-friendly companion.

What sets them apart is their remarkable emotional intelligence. Australian Labradoodles seem to sense what their people need — whether it's a playful romp or a quiet cuddle — and they respond accordingly. This intuitive quality has made them one of the most sought-after therapy and service dog breeds in the world.

At Doods & Dolls, we are excited to be developing our Australian Labradoodle program with the same dedication to health, temperament, and family-first values that defines everything we do.

What makes them special

Intuitive & Empathetic

Australian Labradoodles are renowned for their ability to read human emotions. They make exceptional therapy and service dogs, and are naturally attuned to the needs of their families.

Allergy-Friendly Coats

Their fleece or wool coats shed minimally and produce less dander, making them one of the most allergy-friendly breeds available for families who love dogs but struggle with allergies.

Multigenerational Excellence

True Australian Labradoodles are multigenerational — bred from established lines to consistently produce predictable coat types, sizes, and temperaments. This is not a first-generation cross.
